Local singer/songwriter Vlada Ederidge sings the blues softly and sweetly, in a way that's sure to melt your heart.
There's something about the blues that draws you in; the method of storytelling, the soothing vocals and the gentle guitar work just might do it. Vlada Ederidge delivers on all three fronts, making her a well kept secret in the Brisbane music scene.
While only three songs currently feature on her Myspace, they're equally spellbinding. 'For The Night' is a sure favourite; a sweet lullaby that's sung with a certain conviction and grunt. Gentle acoustic number, 'The Bay', has a similar charm and it's here that the She & Him influence shines through. The ups and downs in the vocal arrangement are reminiscent of Zooey Deschanel with a bluesier edge.
